David Friedman, Acting Administrator of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), will be the featured speaker during the Grand Opening of the SAE 2014 World Congress.
Mr. Friedman will speak at on Tuesday, April 8 at 8:30 a.m. in the AVL Technology Leadership Center at Cobo Center in Detroit. The SAE World Congress will run April 8-10.
As Acting Administrator, Mr. Friedman leads the execution of the agency’s mission to save lives, prevent injuries and reduce economic costs due to road traffic crashes, through education, research, safety standards, and enforcement activity.
Also scheduled to speak during the Grand Opening will be Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who became the state’s 48th governor when he was sworn into office on Jan. 1, 2011.
Helmut List, Chairman, AVL, also will provide remarks during the opening ceremonies.
