The Systems division has received a major new systems engineering contract from a European manufacturer of premium vehicles in the low-double-digit million euro range. The project involves the integration of model-specific system components into existing main assembly lines for the substructure, inner and outer side panels and body shop lines. In addition to commissioning of the systems, the contract also covers the programming of several hundred industrial robots. The order was received in the 4th quarter of 2015, with delivery scheduled to commence in May 2016. Start of production is planned for April 2017.

“We are proud that a customer with the demanding technical requirements of a premium vehicle manufacturer has opted for KUKA,” says Dr. Till Reuter, CEO of KUKA AG. “This contract is evidence of the high quality of our products and our know-how.”
