GAZ Group, a member of Basic Element, one of the major diversified industrial groups in Russia, delivered 126 LIAZ-529260 buses to GUP MO Mostransavto. All the vehicles have been adapted for carrying low-mobility passengers. The buses will be operated on the routes of 23 municipalities of Moscow Region.

The LIAZ buses were handed over at the facility of the Crocus Expo International exhibition center in the presence of Moscow Region management: Governor Andrei Vorobyev and Petr Ivanov, Moscow Region Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport.
The low-floor LIAZ-529260 is a version of LIAZ-5292 bus that proved its reliability at the Sochi Olympic and Paralympic Games and won the fourteenth annual contest “The best commercial vehicle of Russia”. The bus is designed to be operated on the routes with intense passenger flows and can carry 114 people, including 28 seats and a specially equipped area for low-mobility passengers. This passenger capacity is the highest among the city large buses. The vehicle is equipped with a modern diesel YaMZ -536 Euro-4 202 kW (275 h.p.) engine.
The bus features a mechanical ramp designed for entry/exit of wheeled chairs. Its kneeling system (adjustable 7° tilt of the bus to the door side) provides for a comfortable height for passengers boarding into the bus at the bust stop. Thanks to the low floor, comfortable entry and exit the time required for the boarding and getting off of the passengers and for passing the route are reduced by 15%. The electronically controlled suspension lifts or lowers the bus at the press of the button to overcome complicated sections of the route. The bus is equipped with the video surveillance system, the fire-fighting system, the digital tachograph and the GLONASS navigation equipment. The driver’s cockpit is designed in accordance with the international standards in terms of its comfort and ergonomics, and equipped with a modern electronic dashboard and a special box for additional equipment and storage of the driver’s personal belongings.
