A Ramasubramanian, President, Asia Motor Works Limited, has been confirmed to speak in the Big Picture session at Automotive World CV Megatrends India 2014, which will be held on 25 February 2014 in Chennai.

The Big Picture session is a panel discussion focusing on the future of commercial vehicle megatrends over the next ten years and beyond.

Mr Ramasubramanian has worked in a number of key positions in the Indian automotive industry. In the 1970s he began his career at TELCO (now Tata Motors), later joining Axles India limited (a joint venture between Eaton Corporation and TVS Group) and then Eicher. In 2005 Mr Ramasubramanian moved to Ashok Leyland as Executive Director for Product Development and Strategy and worked there until 2006 when he assumed the role of CEO of Eicher Motors, Commercial Vehicle Unit.

He joined AMW in 2009 and has since driven the development of new commercial vehicle models at the company, including the new generation of AMW truck and luxury bus models that were displayed at the Auto Expo 2012. Mr Ramasubramanian has also played a key role in the growth and development of the company into the third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer in India.

He is a member of the SAE, ASM and Indian  Institute of Metals, and a qualified CFA.
