Artificial intelligence (AI) and the use of intelligent data has been a topic of conversation for years. AI has evolved tenfold from the realms of sci-fi to impact various sectors, organisations and people. Many applications of AI, such as voice-powered personal assistants i.e. Alex and Siri, are obvious to most. But in many cases, AI has been quietly integrated into the background of many technologies—like email spam filters—and has created vast efficiencies as a result.
