Scania has been awarded SEK 30m (US$4.46m) from Sweden’s Strategic Vehicle Research and Innovation Initiative (FFI) to develop a commercial vehicle engine that can operate on biofuel. The OEM says it will concentrate on developing an engine using biofuels that combine the high energy efficiency of diesel (compression ignition) technology
