Webasto, German-based automotive supplier, announced that the Turkish subsidiary, Webasto SPM, has signed an asset purchase agreement with Gaspa Otomotiv Soğutma – the Webasto partner for Webasto Diavia cooling products in Turkey. The company expects this purchase to become effective within the next months.
“With the acquisition of the Diavia cooling business in 2012, we have already expanded our product portfolio in the area of cooling systems. This was an important step closer to our goal of becoming a leading system supplier for heating and cooling products from one source,” explains Dr. Joachim Damasky, Board Member Webasto SE, responsible for the division Thermo & Comfort. “Now, the purchase agreement with Gaspa is the consequent next step to expand our customer network for cooling products in important growth markets like Turkey.” Customers will benefit from a broad product portfolio of customizable heating and cooling solutions from one single source. The main markets are mini- & midi bus, off-highway and special vehicles.
