Car maker mia electric is pleased to announce the advent of Focus Asia GmbH as the majority shareholder of the Company (88%), with the Region Poitou-Charentes remaining as a minority stakeholder in mia electric. This agreement assures the continuation of production and jobs in Cerizay and further strengthens the foundations of mia electric.
The appearance of the new shareholder ensures the long term viability of the company and will permit the Company to plan a new phase in its development. This boost from the new shareholder comes -above all – on the technical development front (Hydrogen Fuel Cell).
Madame Kirsten Roennau, president of mia electric since the 16 April last, passes control to Madame Michelle Boos, representing Focus Asia GmbH, who will become president of mia electric. The agreement reached by the supervisory board, on which the Comité d’entreprise of mia electric had been consulted on Monday 10 June 2013, allows for the cession by d’Impulsus clean Technologies GmbH and of MIA ELECTRIC GMBH of their shares to the Focus Asia GmbH. Consortium.
The three parties to the agreement have agreed not to divulge any information on the sale price of the shares.
Following the signature of the share sale contract, Madame Kirsten Roennau stated : “Two major tasks were confided to me on assuming my role – that of giving a major boost to the mia electric international presence notably with the arrival of the new UK importer and to pursue the objective of concluding a new partner investment to ensure the continued and accelerated development of mia-electric .These missions duly completed I leave the presidency of mia-electric as of today. ».
