Canadian Black Book announced today its 2013 ‘Best Retained Value Awards.’ Chrysler Canada is the only North American manufacturer to win at least one award. For the third year in a row, the Jeep® Wrangler took top spot in the Compact SUV category and for the second year in a row, the Dodge Challenger took top honours in the sports car category.

“Best Retained Value Awards” are handed out in 19 categories. The hardware is awarded to those vehicles which retained the greatest percentage of their original MSRP over the past four years (since 2009). CBB’s awards program – in its 8th year – guides consumers who are looking for vehicles that hold their value best, thereby reducing the total cost of vehicle ownership…a critical consideration when purchasing a vehicle.

“We are proud to have two vehicles recognized once again this year by Canadian Black Book for top honours in this year’s Retained Value Awards,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada Inc. “We take great pride in building reliable vehicles that are being recognized for the outstanding value they deliver to Canadian drivers.”

“It is great to see domestic manufacturer Chrysler Canada not only win two Canadian Black Book awards, but also do so in consecutive years,” said Kathy Ward, CEO of Canadian Black Book. “They stand as examples of vehicles that hold their value best over time, lowering the cost of ownership and providing peace of mind for owners.”

2013 Jeep Wrangler
For the 2012 calendar year, 18,996 Jeep Wranglers were sold, up 21 per cent from 15,636 vehicles sold in 2011. These results represent both an annual sales record for the one-of-a-kind Jeep Wrangler. For the 2013 model year, engineers for the Jeep Wrangler focused their attention on interior ergonomics with a goal to make Jeep Wrangler even more comfortable for daily travels. The result is an untouched level of off-road capability, combined with on-road dynamics, fuel efficiency and interior comfort that make Jeep Wrangler the perfect vehicle for unmatched open air freedom on the daily drive or the weekend trail.

2013 Dodge Challenger
The Dodge Challenger delivers exactly what muscle car enthusiasts want — a powerful and efficient engine lineup, iconic muscle-car design and performance suspension designed for maximum grip — all executed with quality and precision.
