Dayco has announced the launch of a range of timing chains and timing chain kits into its aftermarket power transmission product line up.
Although Dayco is the world’s largest original equipment (OE) timing belt manufacturer, replacement timing chains and chain kits represent a new departure for the company. However, in common with its entire range of aftermarket products, these new chains and kits contain only OE quality components and are therefore consistent with Dayco’s global reputation for excellence.
The chain kit range, which come with all the necessary tensioners, guides, sprockets and of course chain to undertake a full and thorough replacement, covers the top 50 part numbers and provides workshops with the solution for the vast majority of the day-to-day applications they are likely to encounter and therefore enables them to fit an OE quality replacement that gives them the peace-of-mind on which both they and their customers rely. It also allows workshops to purchase a wider range of power transmission components from a single, trusted source.
Notable kit references include KTC1000 for the popular GM derived 1.3-litre JTDm/JTD/MJTD units, KTC1006 for the 1.0-litre Toyota, and KTC1035/36 for the 1.2-litre unit used in numerous SEAT, Skoda and VW applications. When it comes to chains in isolation, the range also includes the popular BMW 2.0-litre TD (TCH1036) and Ford’s 1.8i (TCH1041).
