Infiniti’s de Nysschen talks market expansion, brand power and diesel’s hold on Europe

In Geneva, de Nysschen discussed Infiniti’s future market focus, the situation in Europe and potential powertrain expansion.

Infiniti has been described by Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti, as a 'challenger brand'. Its sales may be smaller when compared to other luxury car brands, but de Nysschen said Infiniti is “not trying to be all things to all people, but very much to a small few.” While the focus at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show was mostly on Europe and its modest recovery, de Nysschen said his sights were mostly set elsewhere. At the show, de Nysschen discussed Infiniti’s future market focus, the situation in Europe and potential powertrain expansion.
