EV battery storage could be the silver bullet to clean energy transition

EV8's CEO speaks to Megan Lampinen about how it is allowing new players to participate in the energy value chain

The shift to electric vehicles (EVs) is opening up new opportunities in unexpected corners. Joint venture company EV8 is working with vehicle manufacturers, car leasing companies, airports, government councils and others to explore future business models around energy. Success on this front will be closely linked to EVs and battery technology.

“What we really want to do is help accelerate the energy transition from high to low carbon. We are absolutely convinced and assured that EVs are going to be central to that ambition,” EV8 Chief Executive Tom Harper told Automotive World.
