Nissan has appointed Mark Stout, currently Vice President of Human Resources (HR) in the Americas, to the role of Divisional General Manager, Global Talent Management at Nissan’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan. Andrew Tavi, currently Vice President, Legal and Government Affairs, and General Counsel Americas, will take on additional responsibility for HR across the Americas region and become Vice President, Legal, Government Affairs and HR, and General Counsel, Americas.
“During Mark’s six years as the head of HR in the Americas, he has helped Nissan bring in and retain some of the best and brightest in the industry, and he will be instrumental in developing a similar strategy for our global team,” said José Muñoz, executive vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and chairman, Nissan North America. “We are confident that Andrew’s exceptional leadership skills and business-first mindset will help us as we bring on new talent and continue to grow our already strong employee base here in the Americas.”
In his new role, Stout will be responsible for guiding global Nissan talent management activities as well as coordinating with the Renault-Nissan Alliance HR group to nurture a wider global talent pool. Stout joined Nissan in 1989 and has held a number of HR positions of increasing responsibilities. He has a bachelor’s degree in public administration and economics from Middle Tennessee State University.
Tavi started his career with Nissan in 2009 after nearly four years of leading Noble International, Ltd. as general counsel and ultimately as CEO. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan with a major in English and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
Both moves are effective August 18.
