At the end of the first nine months of the year, CITROËN had registered more than 194,000 vehicles, including about 152,000 passenger cars (PCs) and more than 42,000 light commercial vehicles (LCVs):

– CITROËN’s third-quarter market share (PC+LCV) was up 0.7 points from the 2nd quarter, with gains of 0.6 points for PCs and 0.8 points for LCVs.

– The brand showed continued improvement in September, with the appeal of its latest products lifting PC registrations 2%, compared with the year-earlier period.

At the end of the third quarter of 2015, CITROËN’s momentum in France was illustrated by:

• The CITROËN C3

Contributing to its growing appeal are new-generation engines (particularly the petrol versions, with the PureTech 3-cylindre turbo 110 S&S engine, winner of the Engine of the Year award*) and additional equipment (touchscreen tablet, etc.). This model’s success shows no sign of fading, with more than 42,000 PC registrations since the start of the year and an 8% increase in registrations in September.

• The New C4 RANGE

With its appeal enhanced by many new features (a new light signature, touchscreen tablet, keyless access & start, new-generation PureTech and BlueHDi engines, the new EAT6 automatic gearbox, etc.), registrations of this model increased by 17% in September.

• The strong performance of the CITROËN Jumpy in the LCV market

Despite virtually stagnant growth in the LCV market (up 0.8%, compared with the first nine months of 2014, with one more business day in 2015), the CITROËN Jumpy van continued to demonstrate its power of attraction with professionals, as volumes rose 11%, compared with the same period in 2014.

• Excellent results on the Open House weekend in September

The figures for the Fall Open House on 12 and 13 September were excellent, with more than 5,000 orders placed and a 27% increase in PC orders, compared with the Open House in September 2014. NINE-MONTH SALES OF CITROËN FRANCE Especially noteworthy: the CITROËN C4 Cactus chalked up more than 530 orders, a record for the Open House since its inception. Also, following the introduction of the BlueHDi engines and the EAT6 automatic gearbox on the CITROËN C5, orders for this model doubled, compared with 2014.

• The top-ranking French car brand in the Posternak-Ifop brand image survey

CITROËN is the favourite domestic car brand of the French. Across all categories, the brand ranked number two with the French public in the latest Posternak-Ifop survey, conducted in September 2015 on a representative sample of the French population. With a brand image index of 78 (up 1 point from May 2015), CITROËN came in second in a ranking of 30 French companies in all sectors (2 points behind first-place Michelin).
