Joel Hoffmann, Independent Consultant, Renesas Electronics has been confirmed as a speaker in the Connected Car stream at Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.
Joel Hoffmann is an independent consultant for Renesas Electronics, the world’s largest automotive silicon supplier. He was formerly the Automotive Strategist for Intel’s Automotive Solutions Division. In this capacity, he led the strategic focus for next generation automotive use cases, providing direction that applies to cars several generations into the future. He also drove the infotainment group toward a common and open vision, which includes spearheading new market development around advanced driving technologies.
Pioneering open software innovation, Hoffmann has been involved in GENIVI Alliance since its inception, developed the original name and branding concepts, leads the marketing team, and was a board member for the first five years of the alliance’s growth.
With a background of sales, marketing and technical experience in automotive, telecommunications and consumer electronics, he speaks on a variety of automotive contexts including connected cars, autonomous vehicles, and automotive connected security.
The Connected Car track at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015 will seek to identify which technologies and trends will have the most impact on the evolution of the connected car in North America over the next ten years and beyond.
