Better Place today named global brand strategy and industry veteran Peter Economides as Chief Marketing Officer.  Economides joins Better Place from Felix BNI, a global brand strategy consultancy that he founded, as part of a life-long career, working with the world’s leading brands including Apple, Audi, Coca-Cola, General Motors, and Nissan.

In his new role, Economides will lead the company’s global brand and marketing strategy along with strategic co-marketing initiatives with the company’s industry partners.  Economides, who will begin immediately, will report to Better Place CEO Thornley.
Economides began his career in his native home of South Africa.  Over the years, Economides has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Athens, Mexico City, and New York.
His 30-plus year career includes global top management roles on such famous campaigns as Apple’s “Think Different” and Coca-Cola’s “Always Coca-Cola,” among many others.  After a successful career with McCann Erickson Worldwide and TBWA\Worldwide, Economides founded his own strategic brand consultancy, Felix BNI, in 2003.
Economides earned his Bachelor of Business Science (B.Bus.Sc) from the University of Cape Town where he majored in Economics and graduated with honors in Marketing.
Economides is a Board Director and Chairman of the International Marketing Committee of the Make-A-Wish Foundation International.
