November sales results pushed the US market one step closer to a full-year record, with light vehicle volumes coming in at 1.32 million units. According to Autodata figures, November sales were up 1.4% year-on-year, with a seasonally-adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 18.19 million units. This total includes estimated figures from Mercedes-Benz, as the OEM's reporting has been delayed due to a “systems malfunction.” The SAAR represents a slight drop from October's 18.24 million but also the third consecutive month above the 18-million mark. This is the first time on record that the US market has reported three consecutive months with a SAAR above 18 million units.
