HCM City overhauls public transport fleet with e-buses

Vietnam takes another step towards cleaner urban transportation. By Stewart Burnett

Ho Chi Minh City has launched 443 new electric buses across 27 routes, bringing the city’s total electric fleet to 613 vehicles—26% of its entire public transport network. The expansion, operated by Phuong Trang - FUTA Bus Lines, marks a significant step forwards in Vietnam's broader transition away from diesel-powered transportation.
