Hot segments, thriving talent pool: nobody does start-ups like Israel

From artificial intelligence and deep learning to cyber security and navigation, the focus areas of Israeli start-ups are in hot demand, writes Megan Lampinen

Israel's start-up mentality could pay off in spades as the connected car revolution plays out. Increasingly digital and automated technologies are reshaping the technological requirements of vehicle manufacturers and suppliers, and most of the answers are coming from start-up companies. Nobody does start-ups like Israel, and Tel Aviv's Silicon Wadi could soon outshine Silicon Valley. At the moment the country boasts more technology start-up companies and venture capital funding per capita than anywhere else on earth.
