- Lexus CT 200h again recognised by the German VCD Traffic Association as the most ecological car of 2014/2015
- CT 200h winner also in the compact car category
The German Traffic Association VCD released today the annual results of its ecological car assessment programme. The full hybrid Lexus CT 200h is the clear winner overall and in the compact car category. The CT 200h also came first in 2011.
This year’s win shows again that hybrid technology is a leading environmental technology in the automotive sector.
The VCD Ecological Car List has been published for 25 consecutive years. This year the association evaluated 400 current car models taking into consideration the impact of emissions and noise they are producing on human beings and the environment. The list offers a scientifically reliable decision support to customers purchasing a new car.
This year’s winner, the new Lexus CT 200h, features the highly efficient Lexus Hybrid Drive to deliver class-leading CO2 emissions of only 82 g/km.
