Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces the following regular organizational changes to take effect on January 1, 2015.

The Unit Management Division will be reorganized. The Die & Mold Division will be reorganized and also renamed.

In order to increase the pace and efficiency of management functions at the Teiho Plant, which is the responsibility of the Unit Management Division, operations will be transferred to the Die & Mold Division and the division will be renamed to reflect the division’s operations (unit die engineering).
Kamigo Plant Administration Division and Shimoyama Plant Administration Division will be reorganized.

The Electronics Advanced Development Division will be established to consolidate cutting-edge advanced development operations for 2020 and beyond within the field in order to reinforce cutting-edge advanced development.
Powertrain control (Electronics Development Division 2) and chassis control (Electronics Development Division 4) will be consolidated to respond to the advancement of cutting-edge safety (collaborative control of driving, turning, and stopping) and to support the development of human resources for electronic control engineering.
In addition, the division names will be changed to more precisely reflect their operations.
