Richard Pearson, Technical Advisor, Castrol innoVentures, has been confirmed a a speaker in the The Big Picture session at Automotive Megatrends Europe ’13, which takes place on 13 November 2013. 

Richard Pearson is a Technical Advisor in the Research and Technology Group of BP Formulated Products, working on lubricant and fuel research projects, focussing on the impact of these fluids on vehicle fuel economy and performance and understanding the thermodynamic environments which they experience during their pathways through the engine.

Richard obtained a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in modelling of the thermodynamics and gas dynamics of internal combustion engines from Manchester University. He has worked at Ricardo Consulting Engineers, as an academic, and at Lotus Engineering in both the Simulation Software and Advanced Concepts groups. Richard joined BP in 2012.
