Nexteer recognized for planning system that improves global business efficiencies
Nexteer Automotive, a global tier one automotive supplier committed exclusively to wheel-to-wheel advanced steering and driveline systems, today announced it received the Enterprise Technology Leadership Award from the Manufacturing Leadership Community. The Nexteer project receiving recognition, QAD Cloud Replacement of Legacy Systems, is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that improves efficiencies in all global business operations by removing legacy systems.
“As Nexteer continues to expand our operations and customer base around the globe, doing business as efficiently and timely as possible is critical to our success,” said Laurent Bresson, president and global COO. “This new ERP system enables us to deliver superior quality in a consistent manner through a standardized global application that helps us meet each customer’s unique needs.”
QAD was first implemented at Nexteer in 2006. Since that time, 11 sites have implemented the technology. The new system manages global efforts with minimal downtime and disruption to support global accessibility needed to serve a variety of facilities and functions.
Nexteer will be honored at the Manufacturing Leadership Awards Gala on Wednesday, June 4 in conjunction with the Manufacturing Leadership Summit at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
