LEVC opens new European parts distribution centre in Germany

LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has agreed a five-year deal with TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) to operate a parts distribution network

LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has agreed a five-year deal with TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) to operate a parts distribution network. As part of the agreement, a new warehouse hub in Eisenach, Germany joins an existing site in the UK to enhance to the coverage and efficiency of parts availability for the growing list of global LEVC dealers in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, commented:

“We are growing our dealer network across all of Europe and this new deal with TVS SCS will play a key role in facilitating this rapid expansion. The new facility in Eisenach will ensure short parts delivery lead times of 24 hours underlining LEVC’s focus to achieve first class service for our distribution partners and customers across Europe.

The worldwide logistics network is driven by the online parts portal that makes it easy for LEVC dealers to source and order specific items for the TX electric taxi and VN5, the company’s new electric light commercial van. LEVC’s new Forward Stocking Location (FSL) is a warehouse site in Eisenach, Germany, strategically situated to keep order lead times short. The range of parts stocked includes anything from consumable items such as filters, to medium-sized items including glass, to larger components.

Caroline Watson, TVS Commercial Development Director, added:

“LEVC is growing from strength to strength and realising their growth ambitions. We are pleased that we have been able to support them with this new facility at Eisenach and we are working closely with them to increase the number of product lines for parts in the forthcoming months.”

This new strategic partnership supports LEVC’s significant 2021 European market growth plan and the introduction of the VN5 electric van into Europe this Spring. LEVC is continually expanding with an ever-growing dealer network across the UK and Europe with the aim to cover 21 markets by the end of 2021.
