Seating systems: intelligent, sustainable, light and comfortable

The seat is increasingly perceived as a central design element as well as a distinguishing characteristic of the car. Johnson Controls Automotive Seating is presenting intelligent seating systems at the IAA bringing together significant weight reduction, excellent comfort, a high degree of safety and unparalleled functionality. In addition, these seating systems offer plenty of space for individual design and personalization. Premiering in Europe for the first time, Johnson Controls’ Synergy Seat Gen 3 embodies the company’s innovative expertise in seating systems and components such as metal structures and mechanisms, foam, covers and textiles.

Electronics and Interiors: innovation in integration unveiled

Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics & Interiors is premiering a concept that showcases the company’s vision for integrating electronics, interiors and seating into a premium vehicle. This interior concept, making its European debut, is based on the latest market research knowledge and illustrates how Johnson Controls supports automakers with its broad range of development expertise in customizing interiors and adapting global platforms for various vehicle segments in addition to local markets.

The booth will also feature the company’s competencies in producing luxury and handcrafted premium surfaces as well as its electronics portfolio of infotainment products, driver information systems and heads-up displays that enhance the driving experience.

Batteries: new energy storage technology

Efficient and sustainable use of energy is the focus of the IAA presentation by Johnson Controls Power Solutions. An extensive range of energy storage solutions for conventional, Start Stop, Micro Hybrid, hybrid, and electric vehicles are presented. With its new 48 volt Micro Hybrid battery, Johnson Controls Power Solutions has taken another important step forward in the development of energy- saving vehicles.
