General Motors poured the first concrete Friday on a $100 million companion to its new Enterprise Data Center in Warren, Mich. The two replace a network of 23 data centers operated by GM and three information technology suppliers around the world.
Like the Warren data center, the Milford facility will focus on high-power computing, using much the same equipment and material. The value of IT equipment for Milford is estimated at $158 million.
A brief ceremony marking the official start of construction was held at the site and was attended by GM and Milford Township officials.
