Fiat with the iconic 500 is celebrating International Women’s Day to say thank-you to the women whose discoveries and inventions led the way for safer and more comfortable mobility. A video, which will go live on the Fiat 500 Facebook page and on the official YouTube page of Fiat Italy on March 8, is dedicated to all women.
Celebrating women on the International Women’s Day is customary but this year Fiat has opted for a shift in tradition. A video, which shows a 500 without all the innovations that are the fruit of female ingenuity will be going live on the Fiat 500 Facebook page and on the official YouTube page of Fiat UK https://youtu.be/fa03gcMXxuw. The film is a special take on the relationship between women and motors and does justice to the fundamental technical contributions of women.
Driving would be impossible without fuel, which was made cleaner and safer by the discoveries on mineral catalysts by American chemist Edith Flanigen. A woman invented the heating system and we can be sure to reach our destination thanks to actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr, whose studies were fundamental for perfecting the GPS.
These women made cars practical, safe and comfortable to use and this is why this year on March 8 Fiat has decided to wish well to all women and thank those who made our cars what they are today.
