Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, today unveiled its highlights of the coming Tokyo Motor Show
2013. Under the company’s overall Show theme of “Building Together,” FUSO aims to bring trucks and buses something more familiar to the public through various interactive elements, such as the iPad fuel-efficiency driving game simulator and the “design-your-own truck and bus’ paper craft model.

FUSO’s key messages at the Show are built around its traditional 80-year brand heritage with focus on customer dedication and social responsibility.

Developed by a project team of 9 women core members, the Canter Eco Hybrid ‘Canna’ designconcept model aspires to change the commercial vehicles industry to an even more attractive place to work for women professionals in the transportation business. ‘Canna,’ a derivative word from “Kannazuki” refers to October – its month of birth – in the traditional Japanese calendar.

This modern, robust, and fuel-efficient truck reinforces FUSO’s leadership in the growth markets in Asia and Africa. Launched in May this year, the custom-tailored trucks are already proving its robust payload and industry-leading fuel efficiency in Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Zambia. These trucks will be sold through MFTBC’s global network to total 15 markets in Asia and Africa in the first phase with further markets currently being evaluated.

The Aero Queen ‘Premium Cruiser’ touring coach seeks to change the game in terms of comfort on board a touring coach. Compared to its traditional model with 55 passenger seats, the Premium Cruiser with 13 super-luxury seats incorporates a planetarium-like atmosphere with first-class visualaudio
comfort.
