CITROËN is extending its service coverage with an upgrade to its car-search website, CITROËN CARSTORE. Through a development that marks a first step toward e-commerce capability, customers can now reserve their chosen models directly online.
The CITROËN CARSTORE website (www.carstore.citroen.fr) already offered instant at-a-glance examination and comparison of all new cars available from stock across the CITROËN dealer network. Customers could select the cars that met their criteria and be put in touch with their local dealerships.
The new CITROËN CARSTORE upgrade goes a step further, enabling customers to reserve their cars in a couple of clicks. The customer chooses a car, clicks on a “Reserve this car” button, specifies whether there’s a trade-in involved, and registers a €250 deposit to seal the reservation.
The customer receives a confirmation email instantly, stating that the car will be reserved for three days (and removed from the cars available list). The dealership then contacts the customer directly to make an appointment.
Following in the footsteps of CITROËN Advisor (launched just a year ago, and already used by 25,000 ecustomers), CITROËN is developing its digital strategy to offer the closest possible match to its customers’ needs.
CITROËN CARSTORE offers customers a smooth, seamless, instant, uncomplicated and highly convenient service fully in keeping with new consumer lifestyle patterns, open round-the-clock with a vast choice of around 15,000 vehicles.
