– Bosch Warwick Technology Centre opens at Warwick Science Park
– New facility will provide Bosch engineering support and services for UK customers
– New technology centre is also Bosch Motorsport’s first permanent home in the UK
Bosch has opened an automotive technology centre on the new campus of the University of Warwick Science Park in Coventry. The Bosch Warwick Technology Centre will be home to around 30 Bosch automotive engineers.
The Technology Centre will predominantly provide automotive and engineering services, similar to their existing support sites at Dunton in Essex and at MIRA in Nuneaton.
The focus for Bosch will be on providing engineering support to vehicle manufacturers in order to optimise existing Bosch technologies for specific applications, as well as developing new functionalities for certain systems.
In addition to working closely with vehicle manufacturers, the new site will also see Bosch engaging in collaborative research with WMG at the University of Warwick. Bosch sponsors the University of Warwick’s Formula Student team, which is fitting given the Technology Centre’s secondary focus on motorsport.
The Technology Centre marks Bosch Motorsport’s first permanent home in the UK, having been involved in motor racing since 1901. Bosch Motorsport provides application engineering and training support to all types of racing, from club to GP and FIA-mandated series.
