The Volvo Group has sold off 1.27 million shares in Indian truck manufacturer Eicher Motors for SEK 2.5bn (US$286m) and plans to use the funds to support other areas of the business. Prior to the share sale, Volvo owned 8.4% of Eicher. The two partners operate an equal-parts joint venture, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), which they say will not be impacted.
