UK car production extended its recovery for a second consecutive month in July, rising 5.6% to 69,127 units according to new data released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Commercial vehicle (CV) output collapsed 81.1% to just 2,879 units, reflecting ongoing plant restructuring efforts.
