Testing automotive powertrain systems has never been more challenging, or more exciting. That's the message from SGS Transportation regarding its Testing Services Group. Tightening legislation, greater regulatory scrutiny and growing interest in alternative powertrain systems make for an environment demanding rapid response and close market scrutiny.
"We touch every automotive OEM that sells vehicles in the US," Lauri Powell, Executive Director, SGS Transportation, told Automotive World. "We test emissions for every single vehicle for the in-use vehicle programme (IUVP) at high altitudes out of our Denver location."
