Laws have to change to allow for autonomous driving, says Magna

Autonomous vehicles, driverless cars or self-driving cars – there are various terms floating around these days. One thing for certain, however, is that various players are pushing for the same thing: a vehicle that can ferry passengers from A to B without any driver input. Of course, this is a mammoth task with various hurdles that need to be overcome. Chris Van Dan Elzen, Global Product Director, Machine Vision Systems at Magna Electronics, gave Automotive World an insight into recent developments in the field during a recent visit to its Troy, Michigan facility.
