Home delivery services could emerge as one of the earliest use cases for autonomous vehicles (AVs). For the service providers, the focus is not so much on the technological capability of the vehicles, which they will source from automakers, but rather the logistics of the delivery and the consumer interaction with the vehicle. Just like automakers, though, they will need to put in plenty of hours of real world testing. Similarly, they will need to ensure they cover the entire spectrum of possible users.
