The changing face of car design – inside and out

Automotive World speaks to Chris Bird, Director of Design, Ford of Europe, who explained that the next change of physical design and appearance of Ford models inside and out could just be around the corner

The car of the future is likely to look very different than the one consumers are used to today. Some believe the car will become more of a social environment, while others think that the increasingly autonomous car will allow drivers to take their hands off the wheel and their eyes off the road. Until that time, many factors, including car engines, infotainment systems and exterior visual desirability will change the overall appearance of a car – inside and out.
