Asia prepares for a decade of rapid autonomous development

As restrictions relax and regulations form, Asian markets are eager to drive forward autonomy development. By Jack Hunsley

After decades of North American and European dominance, development in future of mobility trends has given the Asian market a much-needed step-up. Though automakers such as Toyota have enjoyed highly successful and profitable decades in the industry, on a market-by-market basis it has been the west that has largely been the technological leader, However, the arrival of concepts such as mass-market electric vehicles has levelled the playing field. Another such technology is the autonomous vehicle (AV).
