General Motors has announced plans to invest US$245m in its St Catharines Powertrain plant in Canada. The funding will be used to produce fuel-efficient six-speed transmissions, starting in early 2012.
The plant will supply transmissions to the CAMI plant in Ingersoll and the Oshawa Assembly Plant for the Chevrolet Equinox,
