Amidst Geneva bling, CotY keeps it conventional

Geneva's stands may be filled with luxury SUVs and high-spec sports cars, but the Car of the Year award once again highlights the conventional and the practical

The 2015 European Car of the Year (CotY) awards mark the start of the Geneva Motor Show, where this year's spotlight will shine on a slew of super luxury models and high-spec sports cars and SUVs. The likes of Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and McLaren will show off their latest high-performance and high-cost sports models, while other like Honda, Hyundai and Renault will display a host of SUVs and crossovers. In contrast, the CotY award once again keeps it conventional and practical.
