Volkswagen shareholders have demanded significant governance reforms, citing concerns over board independence and the influence of the Porsche and Piech families. At the company’s virtual annual general meeting, investors criticised Chief Executive Oliver Blume’s dual role as head of both Volkswagen and Porsche AG, calling it a conflict of interest.
