Chinese automakers BYD and Chery are increasing their focus on plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) in the EU to navigate high tariffs on their battery-electric (BEV) models. This strategy, first enacted in 2024, is beginning to bear fruit, as new data from research firm Rho Motion reveals.
