GM stops US-made car exports to China, outsells Tesla

GM continues to adjust its China strategy amid challenging trade headwinds and intense local competition. By Stewart Burnett

General Motors has ceased exports of US-made vehicles to China, citing trade challenges and  restructuring efforts as the key drivers behind the decision. The decision is set to impact GM’s Durant Guild premium import business, which only accounts for a tiny portion—roughly 0.1%—of its total Chinese sales.
