The UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) is calling on employers who work in the Advanced Manufacturing sector to attend an ‘Employer Ownership of Skills’ event being held in the West Midlands on 10 December 2012.

The event will inform employers in the Advanced Manufacturing sector about the opportunity to access up to £150 million of funding, available through Round 2 of the Employer Ownership pilot. The pilot offers all employers in England the opportunity to invest with government to develop their current and future workforces and to tackle skills challenges that may be stopping the business from reaching its full potential.

Companies in attendance will hear from employers that have already accessed funding through Round 1 of the pilot as well as UKCES Commissioners and representatives from BIS.

UKCES is asking employers to register their interest in the event now, in advance of invites and tickets being circulated at a later date.

Visit the UKCES website to find out more about the Employer Ownership of Skills pilot.
