Nissan announced today European retail sales for July of 55,954 units (Nissan and Datsun), representing a market share of 3.9%.
July highlights:
- Nissan’s UK retail sales have grown by 12% year-on-year during the January-July period to 99,357 units.
- Nissan’s retail market share in Germany grew by 0.5pp in July vs. the same period last year to 2.2% making it the best performing Japanese brand during the month and extending this leadership position over the calendar year.
- Nissan’s France retail sales stood at 5,516 in July with a 3.5% market share. Two out of every three units sold were crossovers.
- Nissan’s Spain retail market share grew by 0.5pp in July vs. the same period last year to 4.8% with 5,310 units sold making it the 8th bestselling automotive brand and the number 1 Asian brand in the country.
- Nissan in Italy increased retail sales by 17% over the same month last year with 5,293 units sold in July 2015 and recorded a growth in the January-July period by 23%, with 40,807 units sold.
- Nissan-Datsun combined retail market share in Russia grew by 0.6pp year-on-year in July to 5.7%. Datsun sales in Russia totalled 2,288 units.
