All light functions in LED technology for the first time // Tail light function combined with reflector as flat LED light guide
Lighting expert HELLA presents its innovative Coluna full LED combination rear lamp for towing vehicles and trailers at Automechanika. All the lighting functions of this product (tail light, stop light, direction indicator, rear fog light and also the back-up light) have been solely equipped with LED technology. The tail light, in combination with the reflector, is generated by means of a ground-breaking flat LED light guide, and has been registered as a patent. And this light guide succeeds in producing illumination which is especially homogeneous. The result is that the tail light function, with a surface area of around 145 cm², is particularly well lit up and very visible in the dark, ensuring more safety on the road when driving in night-time traffic. Thanks to the use of innovative LED technology, the lamp also uses considerably less energy compared to bulb lamps. On top of this, it is low-maintenance due to the very long lifetime of the LEDs, made possible through optimum thermal management. The exceptionally flat light, measuring just 40 millimeters in height, with its impact-resistant lens is also extremely resistant to all manner of vibrations and is protected against penetration by dust and water. Different usage options on the vehicle are made possible through additional connections with EasyConn or AMP plugs. In addition, the lamp can be mounted from the front or behind, as well as horizontally or vertically. The new Coluna full LED combination rear lamp from HELLA is also available in a variety of frame colors.
