Volvo Trucks – fanning the fires in Asia ahead of AEC

Volvo Trucks' Christophe Martin speaks to Automotive World about Asian potential and preparations for the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community later this year.

Asia saw a hefty investment from Volvo Trucks last year, including the launch of its completed redesigned FH, FM and FMX, a new flagship dealership in Bangna, Thailand and new headquarters to oversee Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines. In total, the OEM pumped about US$150m into key markets across the Asia Pacific, timely preparation for the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) later this year.
