The success of electric trucks depends heavily on the success of public charging infrastructure. Not only do more stations need to be erected, but the operators also need to make a profit, and the associated user experience around access, pricing and payment needs to run smoothly. McKinsey notes that successfully scaling fleet charging infrastructure will “inevitably require collaborative actions from fleet operators; truck manufacturers; turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction firms; finance providers; and energy and infrastructure players.”
