Nissan will revive its Xterra SUV as a hybrid model built in Mississippi and has frozen plans to produce a battery-electric version in the US. Christian Meunier, Chairman of Nissan Americas, said the move responds to cooling electric vehicle demand and the end of the federal US$7,500 electric vehicle tax credit, which expired on 30 September.
