Mega trucks: sensationalist or a real concern?

The media has reported that ‘mega trucks’ which measure up to 82ft in length (longer than two double-decker buses) and weighing up to 60 tonnes could be seen more frequently on European roads under EU proposals.

Draft legislation is being considered by the European Parliament, which has concerned transport groups due to the perceived increased threat to cyclists, pedestrians and other vehicle drivers.
