May data shows increasingly robust European CV market

ACEA registration data for May continues to points to an overall market that is becoming increasingly robust. Total medium and heavy duty registrations for the EU 28 and EFTA markets rose 14.7% year-on-year to 26,606 units from 23,188 units recorded in May 2014. Overall, the registration rate for heavy duty trucks was above 100% at 103.9% (implying long term growth), while medium duty (70.5%) and light commercial vehicles (96.5%) both lagged the average.
